the fourth bedroom
Of all the rooms in the house, the fourth and final bedroom is one of our favorites, and no, not because it happened to need the least amount of work!
The fourth bedroom is on the southeast corner of the house, with one window having southern exposure and one having eastern (see pink highlight on photo below):
Somewhere along the line, two closets had been built to flank the east window, with a small window seat built in between, and the floor had carpet in the ubiquitous teal:
Other than that, the room had been relatively untouched. Thank heaven for small blessings on the renovation front, but the flip side is, it doesn't give us anything snarky or funny to say about the room...
Anyway, we gave the walls a fresh coat of paint in a clear, light blue, and the trim, moulding and doors got a coat of bright white high gloss. We tore out the teal carpet covering the hardwood floors, which were refinished when we did the floors in the rest of the house. We finished up by installing a ceiling fan and installing blinds.
